"Living food" lovers, this one's for you. The small counter-service restaurant in Midtown has a clean-living philosophy that carries to its décor -- sleek lines and balanced lighting. Brightly colored raw and vegan foods are staples on the menu of the creative chef Christopher Slawson -- nothing is "cooked." Dried flax-seed chips are served with fresh guacamole; the chilled soup is filled with so-called "superfoods." Falafel salad features a raw ground chickpea mix with spices, served over greens. The zucchini-tomato lasagna with a sun-dried tomato sauce might fool even the die-hards. Mother Earth pizza is made with macadamia ricotta "cheese" and a nori "tuna" sandwich is a true fish tale -- there's no seafood in sight. Thai wraps, veggie burgers, sandwiches, and build-your-own salad list round out the menu. Smoothies, "raw" ice cream shakes, fresh veggie and wheatgrass juices, and teas can be a meal in a glass. Prices are moderate -- organic foods cost money, and creating raw foods isn't just about cutting up carrots.

Great service. Yummy vegetarian food. Also, grab a card from the server and sample the self serve wines at the bar.
This is the place that has me convinced vegetarian/vegan food is always an acceptable tasty alternative. Not a vegetarian, I come here because it's good. Personal recs are ck tacos, falafel wrap
