Description
Near an assortment of luxe little eateries, the Broome Street Bar sticks out as the neighborhood dive. It's as gritty as something in SoHo can get-which is to say, not very-and that's the charm of this place: a quant little Irish pub with the slightest edge. Within the bar's blackened interior, a stained-glass portrait of a heartbroken lass resides at its center, while off to the side, two eraser-marked chalkboards relay the day's featured drinks. The whole affair is pretty straightforward, as are the beers on tap: Stella Artois, Sierra Nevada, Bass, and Guinness for the leisurely regulars, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA for the pros.
