This wine bar is from the owners of the Big Nose Full Body wine shop, just across the street. (Owners who clearly cannot resist a pun.) The place is smallish and low-lit with a big wooden bar and the requisite pretty pressed tin ceiling. In the back, a teeny, closet-sized kitchen harbors one chef. The menu features small plates, including a selection of tartines (open-faced sandwiches), salads and charcuterie, all judiciously priced. Best dishes include the roasted cauliflower salad with garlic confit, capers and anchovies, and the chopped liver tartine sprinkled with diced hard boiled egg and pickled red onion. The large selection of global wines by the glass, half bottle or bottle is also relatively affordable.
