Regulars call it "the retirement home." At the door, a railroad clock and lion statue greet the generally older crowd that frequents the pub, though on Fridays and Saturdays karaoke can bring the youngsters out for a bit. British Rose Pub feels a lot like a den, carpeted, with wood accents and comfortable booths, and a small library where regulars swap books. But it wouldn't be an English pub without pool tables, darts and wall trappings reminiscent of Great Britain. The kitchen offers lunch specials every day from an English menu with the expected fish and chips or baked spud, dotted with a mix of American and Mexican choices.
