"Upscale affordable," as the restaurant's Ohio-based parent company states, may be an apt description of the fare and ambiance that this location (one of 37) trades in. The establishment is a white tablecloth joint that sees a décor dominated by chandeliers as the suburban definition of upscale. It's affordable (lunch for $7.95) and attractive enough to keep them coming back and filling the 8,200 square feet with a capacity for 260. The bar-only menu offers snack-sized plates for less than three dollars and is popular with residents of the Watters Creek mixed-use development in which BRIO is located. The small bites include Ravioli Caprese (Romano-crusted ravioli under tomatoes, mozzarella and a cilantro-pesto drizzle). By contrast, the regular menu is large. So, stick with the house specialties, like grilled citrus chicken with orzo, BRIO shrimp and crab cakes and veal Milanese.
