Just a stone's throw from the Pepsi Center, the enormous, two-level Brauns fills to the brim before Nugs and Avs games, when fans guzzle beer and down big burgers and salads in order to save a few bucks at the Can. After the games, the crowds come back. But even when the Pepsi Center is empty, Brauns stays in the game with an attractive porch, TVs all around the bars and a massive basement play space called the "Penalty Box" that's also available for private parties. The outdoor seating is complemented with heating lamps and a full view of the arena, and the full menu offers everything from Oriental salads to the hunter-sauced Brauns Filet. Brauns is a good fall-back choice for lunch, and it gives bargain hunters a sporting chance with Monday-through-Friday happy-hour specials.
