Description

Yes, this reconfigured diner next to the New Museum still qualifies as a diner, with an intriguing list of double-patty hamburgers, of which the best substitutes a house–cured plank of pastrami for one of the patties. But it's so much more: there's a full menu of sea creatures that may be assembled into plateaux de mer (yay, whelks!), plus entrées that you'd more likely to find in a French brasserie, including a duck leg confit playfully sided with curly fries and an Alsatian choucroute garni that features just about every sausage you can think of—including kielbasa. And make sure to save room for desserts, which are large enough for two to share.
