Description

Aptly named. Brush your bilevel haircut and don your cowboy boots for a sojourn to this reasonably priced steak house. Don't be scared off by the country-and-western music and cigarette smoke drifting over the patio either - this eatery may be out in horse country, but its porterhouse, prime rib, and filet mignon are the certified Black Angus beef cuts of the day. Some eclectic offerings prove to be winners, like the Reuben sandwich and the nacho supreme appetizer. Formerly a pizzeria, Boonie's also prepares decent spaghetti and meatballs. The restaurant offers a panoply of special occasions: Poker, karaoke, line-dancing, and live bands grace most evenings.

But if you have a hankering to be a country boy (or girl) while you down an enormous porterhouse steak, take the country road home to Boonie's. With few decorative frills and lots of Marlboro men populating the bar, this budget steak house can seem a little intimidating at first. We say brave it and head straight for the lounge, where some reasonably... More »
