Mike Rothschild, owner of Boomer's Sweet Home Chicago, couldn't find a decent hot dog after moving here from Chicago a little more than a decade ago. So he decided to make his own-and we're glad not only that he did, but that he's willing to share these sweet Chicago-style honeys with us. They're made from the finest sausage meat shipped over from Chicago, and topped with ketchup, mustard, and onions, they taste like no other wiener you've ever had. Also popular are Boomer's sliders, a pure beef burger grilled on a bed of freshly chopped onions, then topped with ketchup, mustard and pickle (fish sliders with cheese and tartar sauce are also available; we like to order a few of each!). Also on the menu are fresh salads, melts, chicken sandwiches, French fries, breaded zucchini, pizza puffs, tamales, and hand-scooped shakes available in an array of cold and tasty flavors. Bring on the dogs!
