Description

Few modern influences have slipped in to Bonnie Brae Tavern over the past seventy-odd years. Instead, four generations of the Dire family -- who opened their roadhouse right across the street from the headquarters of the Denver Temperance League in 1934 -- have slapped down a couple of coats of paint and otherwise left the joint more or less alone. Bonnie Brae was one of the first spots in town to offer pizza, and the food remains American Classic -- pot roasts and T-bones, burgers-n-fries.
