Description

The husband-and-wife duo opened Bongusto more than 20 years ago with Antonio Cerone in the kitchen as chef and Anne Cerone as the hostess. The upscale Italian eatery still has some of its original clientele popping in for old-fashioned and traditional dinners. One specialty at Bongusto that's a rarity in South Florida restaurants is that you can get the whole fish deboned tableside by a skillfully trained server. The pink tablecloths add an elegant touch to the family eatery. Antonio Cerone cooks everything from scratch, from the gnocchi to the pastries. We were told that the ricotta cheesecake took a few years to perfect the recipe. Buon appetito!
