A fusion of country French bistro and industrial live-work loft, Boat Street Café hides its many charms (and its secret garden) a story down from street level. The menus at Renee Erickson's cafe-and at Erickson and Susan Kaplan's adjacent lunch and catering spot, Boat Street Kitchen-are southern country French in form and Seattle in spirit. At dinner, try the fabulous plum and onion confiture tart with Roquefort and cress, or the pork chop with pickled raisins. Service is as exceptional as the food and the setting.
