Description

The chef presiding over the teppan table at this popular sushi bar/restaurant plays a syncopated riff with his utensils, tossing lemons into the air and catching them-with spatulas! While you're enjoying this fun display, you'll also love the misoshiru, a soup stocked with tofu and wakame, and a gingery green salad-both come along with grilled vegetables-that are included in every teppan meal. From there, you're on your own choosing your ingredients for teppan-a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food. We recommend combining meats off the menu, which means more variety but smaller portions. There's calamari, chicken, salmon, New York steak, and lobster-everything you love! Be sure to order something with egg in it, too, because the chef (who does your cooking tableside, for you!) will make a performance out of browning one for an omelet, then slicing it up and adding it to, say, your fried rice entrée. Grilled onions are set ablaze in vodka and, while you're gobbling those, Chef will start in on your meats. Everything is delicious, but even if it weren't, it's so much fun watching our food get prepared so dramatically, we always come back for more teppan!
