Description

Block 7 is a retail wine warehouse and restaurant with "wine- inspired" cuisine. The wines are sold at retail prices, and they're from all over the world. Most are sold by the glass, and you can try any of them at the tasting bar. The menu features fresh, local ingredients. Try flatbreads with an assortment of artisanal toppings, cheeses, house-cured meats and snacks like truffle popcorn while sipping vino in the open-air dining room. Sandwiches such as the Sloppy Giuseppe and entrées such as the pappardelle with braised rabbit will seduce you.

At Block 7, dry-aged beef is topped with well-melted Gruyère and a bacon relish that adds a hint of smoke and edge to the already flavorful meat. The kitchen keeps additions to a minimum (arugula, Dijon aioli), and this restraint, plus an excellent bun from local Slow Dough bakers, keeps what could be an over-the-top burger from becoming pretentious.
