Description

Sitting in a tiny, curtained-off booth inside Broadway's Bleu Bistro makes you feel like it could be Paris in the 1930s. Bleu Bistro's jewelry-box ambience oozes intimacy and romantic intrigue. The bulk of the sizeable menu consists of drinks both imaginative and obscure. The classic gin fizz and mojito are great; beware the vanilla lemon drop unless you have a severe sweet tooth. Bleu's food ranges from traditional macaroni and cheese to the fancier romita chicken pesto. Just check for mischievous green bits of pesto before smiling coyly at your date; even dim candlelight can't disguise that moldy-teeth look.
