Event Review: In the Blood
I saw In The Blood last night. The 6 students at UMSL that took their time and passion for theater did an amazing job. It was such a moving play. I would say if you have free time this weekend take the time to go see the hard work that the director and her actors/actress are sharing.. This is a MUST SEE play...
First off I want to apoligze for the incorrect zipcode. It is not 63105 it is 63121. I was trying to correct but do not see a way to do it short of emailing the site. I actually live 5 minutes away from the Touhill and I find it an amazing place to enjoy not only one of UMSL's commencement ceremonies, but also a music concert such as Al Jarreau or a comedy show from the late great George Carlin, both whom I had the pleasure to see both perform. A beautiful building, wonderful performances, and memorable times.
When it comes to theaters, St. Louis has a leviathan complex. The Muny and the Fox are both too large to sustain a viable performer-audience rapport. If and when it's eventually refurbished, Kiel Opera House will be too large, as well. The Edison isn't too big, but with seats that face away from the stage, it's too weird.
