Description

For more than two decades, Bizzarro's blood-red brick walls and Addams-Family-garage-sale decor have fostered a casual neighborhood vibe. Mike Easton, who's co-owned the place since 2005, updates the family-friendly Italian food with a new focus on homemade pastas, sustainably raised meats, and local veggies. A strict "300-mile menu" was a wash (and desserts still need work), but you'll find beet salads with sea salt and smoked blue cheese, linguini with sweet clams and house-cured pancetta, and silky ribbons of pappardelle with a lamb bolognese. It's also a popular spot for birthday parties without ever seeming like Buca di Beppo.
