With nearly a dozen pool tables, air hockey and a decent assortment of arcade games, Billiard Bar really does live up to its pool-hall name, but this Lowest Greenville bar may be known more for its regular drink specials than for billiards. The nights with the best specials -- like $2 you-call-its on Sundays, Tuesday's $2 beers and 60 ounce pitchers for $9, or Wednesday's $1 domestic and $2 import drafts -- prove that in Dallas, great drink specials are the great crowd pleaser. They are also a great equalizer, because Billiard Bar draws a very mixed group of folks from trendy hipsters to working stiffs covered in tats to popped-collar frat boys and sorority girls. The bar has several popular weekly DJ nights, and out front there's a spacious patio with plenty of seating.
