Sports bars tend to be loud and bright. Not so with Big Daddy's Sports Lounge. "Lounge" is the operative word at this low-key North Valley joint that typically caters to a more mature crowd. Not only can you passively watch the game, you can also get a little action in, plunking a few bucks down at the off-track betting table or joining in one of Big Daddy's weekend poker tournaments. Pool, darts, and trivia are also available, so there's no excuse to get bored. Oh, and you can show off your singing skills on Saturdays with Karaoke. It's pretty straight-forward, design-wise, but long hours - Big Daddy's is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. - and home-style cooking for all three meals make it the sort of place where you can easily while-away a day or two.
