A visit to Germany is just a hop, skip, and jump away to the Boca Biergarten in Royal Palm Plaza. Housed within a rather large space, this whimsical theme bar has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside, a patio filled with long, slab tables and barstools makes for an ideal drinking atmosphere if the weather is right. Walking inside, you'd never know it was a night out in Boca Raton. Dark and ambient, the wooden room is dripping in greenery, birdhouses, and taxidermy lighting fixtures. A sizable, barrel-stave bar occupies one end of the room, serving both the interior and exterior patrons. On an elevated level is a stage where local live acts play to the crowd below, filling the room with music. Upstairs is “Godfried's Place,” a VIP area with rustic leather seating, walls adorned in vintage Oktoberfest art, and a prime view of the downstairs happenings. Boasting a selection of around 50 craft beers – in bottle and on tap – the Biergarten has a flavor to quench just about anyone's thirst.
