Beth Fitchett Wood toured in a few acts throughout the '70s, '80s and '90s, and now she's back home in Laguna, trying to spotlight new talent. Every Tuesday, she plays for 45 minutes, then starts the showcasing of other talented acts.

This popular Laguna Beach hangout is a local oasis in the midst of a vast tourist Mecca. Although this establishment has a knack for attracting mostly a middle-aged crowd, you can find it filled with all kinds of patrons on any given night. This is definitely a no-frills venue, but the staff is friendly and the people that frequent the Marine room are mainly there to have a good time and enjoy a quality live performance or two. The tavern features a full bar and a variety of beers on tap. The music, ranging from blues to indie rock is often fantastic and has been known to reach near-deafening levels, leaving you with a pleasant "my-ears-are-ringing-but-it-was-worth-it" sensation.
