Description

Like any good all-American diner, the Bayside is one of San Francisco's great greasy spoons (sic: the place is as trim and tidy as your grandmother's parlor). Waffles, burgers, biscuits and gravy, and other delectable classics are served in enormous portions and at exceptionally reasonable prices to a diverse crowd of old-timers, regulars, and Visitacion Valley locals. The house specialty is eggs Benedict with corned beef hash, home fries, and a fried banana, a gorgeous and waist-expanding production. The hilltop location offers fine views of San Bruno mountain, and the atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and homey.
