Bathtub Gin is Belltown's version of the Seattle speakeasy. And one nice thing about the city's current trend of tucked-away bars is that every speakeasy does things a little differently. At Bathtub, you don't have to ring any doorbells or get on a waiting list, but the bar is hidden in a back alley with only a small sign to indicate its presence. The interior is wooden and classic, barely skirting the edge of old-timey. A short Italian menu is available for the peckish, but the real appeal is its drinks: historical, artful, but comfortingly easy to sip.
