This diner, which looks like it was born to be a fish shack, is famous for its blackened salmon burger, thanks to some shlub from the New York Times who liked it. (Why does it take a New Yorker to make Seattleites notice something?) Topped with remoulade sauce and grilled onions, the spiced-up salmon sandwiches are damn good. But so are the regular burgers-just the right char, fat and drippy-and the reliably crisp fries. Oh, the menu also lists chicken sandwiches and fish and chips, but we're so focused on the salmon and the beef that we've never tried them. Maybe that Times guy could come back into town and give us a report.
