The Balboa Cafe, flagship of the PlumpJack group, serves solid, pricey, upscale American food (salads, burgers, fresh fish, pasta, steaks, and chops) in a wood-paneled setting perfect for its Cow Hollow/Pacific Heights neighborhood. cougar central is what I like to call this place. I promise you if you bring a good looking younger guy (between 21 and 25) the 40 year old women will show no fear, have no shame, and be so aggressive its worth the $9 martini just to see the look on your poor friends face!
