El Pedregal isn't exactly bursting with bakeries, but even if it were, we suspect that this one would be the best. Always clean, with food that's consistently tasty, Bakery Café is the perfect drop-in place for a salad (the Caesar is quite good), a home-brewed iced tea, and a nice deli sandwich. It's all yummy, but really just an excuse to order dessert from among the remarkable selection of pastries. We had a seven-layer cookie that was to die for, and the peanut butter bars are absolutely amazing. Cheesecakes and croissants are also available, and shouldn't be missed.
