Directions: Getting off the Seattle-Bainbridge Ferry, go straight through the first light about a 1/2 mile to the next light, which has a McDonald's off to the right. Take a left at that light onto High School Road. Go past a Safeway on your left and proceed through the next intersection, which is a roundabout. On your right, you'll see the high school. Turn right just before the high school's reader board down a slight hill into a paved parking lot. Parking straight ahead puts you right at the Commodore Gym building. Taking the outside stairs to the left will take you to the upper, Bainbridge High School, gym.
Suggested Ferry: The reading begins at 3:00. Plan to catch the 1:10 ferry, and you will have time for a coffee or a brief stroll in downtown Winslow before heading to the event. The 2:05 ferry, if running on time, also allows for adequate travel time. Check the ferry schedule (here) for other departures. The ferry takes approximately 35 minutes from terminal to terminal. Upon arrival you should allow for 10 minutes to get to the High School from either the ferry terminal or downtown Winslow.
