Tucked away behind a White Castle at the scenic confluence of Manchester, Vandeventer and Chouteau is the gayest little clubhouse in St. Louis. Public displays of affection are colloquial here and therefore still cute, and straight folks will get a taste of what it's like be in the minority. No surprise that Morrissey's golden vox usually finds its way onto the Internet jukebox, and lively games of pool or darts are commonly interrupted with lip-sync-alongs. The Bad Dog recently added a full restaurant, Mama's Chowhouse, and it boasts a bloody mary bar on Sundays, not to mention two-for-one happy hours.

The bands they had there this past Friday night were some of the best out there and the venue is awesome for concerts. The food is amazing and they have one of the bast burgers in town
Bad Dog Saloon - where everyone is welcome and respected. Thursday and Friday nights are fetish nights.
Friendliest Gay Bar in town but you don't have to be gay to be welcome and comfortable. You don't have to be anything but yourself. Great Jukebox too.
We'll admit it: The first thing that drew us to this leather bar was its name. That and its scheduled rope-tying classes. (The saloon, which picked up its midtown stakes and moved to the Grove last year, teaches the techniques used in kabuki theater.) And, OK, the promise of fur suits and bondage gear for sale didn't hurt, either. But eventually we discovered the Bad Dog's cozy interior, which embraces both fetish parties and celebrations of the movie Grease. We learned, too, that underneath... More »
