Backyard Boogie sounds like one of your grandma’s old-timey euphemisms for sex. (Grandpa is one lucky man.) Now that you’re fully grossed-out, head to Wood Tavern (2531 NW Second Ave., Miami) to cleanse your palate with a good, old-fashioned barbecue, complete with plenty of booze to help you forget that you wouldn’t be alive if Nana and Pops weren’t at least a little pervy back in the day. Since it launched earlier this year, the weekly bash — located in Wood’s lush, back-yard oasis in the middle of Wynwood — has risen to the forefront of Miami’s “Sunday funday” party scene. As you get drunk on $5 sangria and spiked lemonade, DJs spin old-school hip-hop while grill-masters fire up ribs, burgers, and vegetarian options.
