Aiming to give customers a taste of old-fashioned family grilling, Back Yard Burger has been steadily extending its lawn for more than 20 years. The burgers are made with North American Black Angus beef and are grilled to order, not having sat under heat lamps since 6 a.m. The namesake specialty burger, the third-pound Back Yard Burger, is topped with lettuce, tomatoes and dill pickles. Double the meat for the 2/3 Back Yard, then customize the heck out of it with a plethora of toppings. Probably unlike your father's cookout patties, the menu here includes the Black Jack with Zesty Creole mayo and pepper jack cheese. For the kiddies, there is the Bak Pak menu, which includes a hot dog.
