Description

Moroccan fast food is the focus of this modern Hell's Kitchen take-out spot. The house specialty is the koufta, little beef burgers seasoned with Moroccan spices and cilantro. Also on the menu are Moroccan beef sausages, brochettes made of lamb, beef or chicken, falafel and more all served on pita or a hero with veggies and a side order of French fries. If youčre feeling a little extra hungry you can always order the platter, which comes with salad and your choice of couscous, rice or fries. There is a little bit of seating available with some stools lined against the long counter and a few wooden tables, but most customers opt for take-out or delivery. Pick-me-ups are available in the form of coffee and freshly brewed Moroccan green tea with mint. During lunch, plenty of midtown office workers come in to take advantage of the $5 deal which includes a falafel sandwich, fries and a soda.—Keith Wagstaff
