Many people have a great terror of trying to bake at altitude. Not the bakers at Avon Bakery, though. Even at 7,420 feet, they manage to make impossibly delicate, criminally buttery croissants, chewy bagels and beautiful breads that are just this side of legendary, concocting all of this goodness out of certifiably organic flour. Avon Bakery also offers a full spread of sandwiches, soups du jour and an incredible breakfast burrito that is reason alone for a drive to the mountains.
