When Alexander C. Lim opened his first restaurant in 2005, he chose the international favorite "butter of the forest" fruit as its moniker. His ultimate desire is to make Avocado the McDonald's of Japanese cuisine. This is made more evident by the usual sushi and Japanese offerings. If you want eel, salmon, tuna, tempura shrimp or lobster, Avocado has it. Of course, designer rolls share space with location-named selections. For example, the Sea World, Columbus and French Kiss rolls. Instead of the McFlurry, try green tea or mochi ice cream.
