Description

This is one of a handful of restaurants that have become a tradition among local fine dining fans. Established in 1974, Avanti is that classy Italian joint you always imagine only exists in old movies: crisp black and white interiors, candlelight, and a mirrored bar stocked with every imaginable kind of hooch. Mediterranean is the order of the day, although vegetarians and seafood lovers flock here, too, for the homemade pasta and crisp salads. Deliciously light Gnocchi Alfredo, Eggplant and Meat Lasagna, and seasonal hand crafted ravioli are house specialties.
