Seattle's Ethiopian row in the International District has a long and growing list of restaurants. This may be the best of the bunch, having survived more than 20 years at Cherry and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Chef-owner Messeret Habeti strives to offer Seattle's most authentic injera, the gluten-free bread made from the grain teff that is the backbone of all Ethiopian cuisine. On top of that, she serves a variety of dishes with lamb, beef, chicken and fish that are aggressively spiced and savory. Your best move might be to sample several of the restaurant's dishes in one of the combo dinners.
