Asqew specializes in flame-licked skewers of meat, veggies, and seafood accented with multiethnic sides and salsas, and the results are distinctive. The hot little kebabs are draped in cilantro or peppercorns or beurre blanc or barbecue sauce (Thai or Texas) and served with your choice of couscous, coconut rice, garlicky potatoes, or grilled polenta: a quick, tasty, and inexpensive feast healthier than the stuff from other fast-food chains. The menu also offers barbecued chicken and ribs, four varieties of all-natural burger, half a dozen salads, plus grilled asparagus, artichoke halves, and stuffed peppers.
