Art & Wine Promenade 

It's the end of a long working week on the last Friday of the month, and you want go out, have fun, and maybe have a nice glass of wine -- without any cash outlay. Problem solved -- after work, head on over to Art & Wine Promenade at Northwood Village for some free wine, beer -- and culture. From 6 to 10 p.m., the Promenade allows you to stroll more than 40 shops and restaurants, many of which participate in this event by offering complimentary wine, beer, and food tastings. (For those of you with expendable incomes, many of the shops and restaurants offer discounts and specials during the Art & Wine Promenade.) Several bands will provide live entertainment, and galleries will hold sidewalk art shows. And since it's Halloween weekend, zombies will invade, and there will be trick-or-treating for dogs and a pet costume contest.
