Karaoke was, of course, brought to these shores by way of Japan, so it's not every day you find a Mexican restaurant that has drunken people singing words off of a screen. Enter Armida's, which is packed with people every night, all doing it their way. But karaoke isn't the only draw here: The booze is cheap, and you can enjoy it on a patio that overlooks Lincoln. The menu hinges on standards like burritos and fajitas, but there are also some specialty items that could be playing your tune.
When Armida's first started hosting karaoke about two decades ago, it was one night a week. Since then, it's become the Mexican restaurant's main focus seven nights a week. Karaoke has become so pop... More »

It had been a while since I'd last been dragged to a karaoke bar. It had been such a long while, in fact, that back then, I couldn't even pass the excruciating time with a game that not-so-new trends now make possible. On a recent visit to... More »
When it opened some twenty years ago, Armida's hosted karaoke one night a week. It's also grown into one of the most popular venues for people to strut their stuff -- so much so that it recently opened another karaoke room on the weekends and upgraded the main floor. More »
The atmosphere at Armida's is so calming and amiable that it prompts even everyday patrons to step up to the mike Wednesday through Sunday nights. The disc jockeys are friendly and are happy to accommodate the most absurd request for songs, whether it comes from longtime karaoke heroes or first-time howlers. And even the shiest shower-stall crooners can expect a warm welcome from Armida's enthusiastic nightly crowds. Now, if only they'd take "Friends in Low Places" off the song list... More »
It's only fitting that one of the town's friendliest Mexican eateries also serves its most mellow chile. Fauso and Armida Corral own Armida's, a cute, unassuming spot with an upstairs for pool players, a dining room for diners and a patio for those who just want to enjoy the view and a few beers. No matter what you're there for, the Corrals zip around like ambassadors from Mazatlan, intent on seeing that you're treated right. And what treats you're treated to: everything from a zippy salsa... Do you like karaoke? If so, this is the place for you.
The food and service is always top notch and the $$$ is right. Can't go wrong !!
"Wonderful place for karaoke. The place is always packed for good reason. It's the most fun place in Denver and we don't sing. It's a bit of a dive though.
