Description

Starting life as little more than a shack, next to which the current incarnation is located, this family-run, sparsely decorated restaurant has been offering Plano residents cuisine from both sides of the border. One of the most popular lunch platters, the #10 combo (crispy taco, chalupa, tamale, rice and your choice of beans), is one such entrée. While you're at it, the house's CC dip is a worthy alternative to salsa. In it, you'll get guacamole, under queso blanco, then garnished with more cheese. Or order a sweet margarita and sip it on the patio near a pond with koi fish. If you plan on eating much -- and you will -- take the DART rail. The Downtown Plano station is within walking -- or rather rolling -- distance.
