Even though it's just a block away from Grand Central, Annie Moore's avoids tourist-catering kitsch entirely. You won't find any shamrocks, Celtic music, leprechauns, or other such regalia at this Irish pub. Instead, you get the bare essentials-Guinness, shepherd's pie, and the flag of the great U.S. of A.-all in one understated, mahogany-filled room with princely chandeliers. Rule of thumb: The less St. Patrick's Day paraphernalia you find in an Irish pub, the more Irish it is.
