Angle features fresh seafood at an upscale joint in the Ritz-Carlton on the stretch of Palm Beach Island known as Manalapan. The interior is awash with a muted palate of deep green, purple, orange, and burgundy. Small round tables line the walls, featuring both booth and oversized seating. It's offset by a single, long dining table in the center of the room, a white marble banquet style set that seats more than a dozen. Here you can get anything Florida fresh, from Key West pink shrimp and Florida stone crab claws to oysters and spiny lobster -- all for a pretty penny (not much on the menu less than $30). You can also drop a cool buck to impress a guest, woo a woman -- or just treat yourself -- and order one of three types of caviar, including Beluga. Even the soup is something to write home about, a celeriac concoction of raisins, peanut, and marshmallow. Surf and turf comes in the form of Taylor Bay scallops and a prime beef tartare. But there are plenty of fish and steak options to go around, including the New Smyrna Beach flounder or red snapper, braised short ribs, and a 28-day dry-aged New York prime cut. Finishing touches add an elegant end to a five-start meal with the signature Godiva crème brûlée.
