Local rise-and-shiners know this place to be a no-frills breakfast spot. The rest of its regulars know it as a greasy spoon where the short-order cook shoots out consistent fare. The menu stays true to form. It's a big honking, all-over-the-map book that includes oatmeal, classic heart-attack American breakfasts, Tex-Mex platters as well as chocolate cake. The eponymous Angela's Special Breakfast (hash browns, pancakes, bacon, delicious eggs and slices of ham) is a hit. Sure, it has its neighborhood detractors, but they probably live in mansions with heating bills more than you make in a year. Take Angela's Café for what it is: a dependable diner where the service is quick and warm. At the very least, it's beloved by the church crowd on Sundays.
