We were there for the grand reopening, and it was awesome. We have been following the crazy Amy stuff online, and just had to see it for ourselves. We had a reservation at 5, I live blogged about my experience, and we really enjoyed our meal. The service was good, but you could tell all of the servers were new. They did have a job fair to hire for their grand opening. We met Samy several times, and he was VERY nice. He stopped for a photo and was appreciative of our comments. We had two different pizzas, a burger, a panini, and an appetizer. The four of us split that, and the bill was only $62. We also took some pizza home for lunch the next day. Granted, it was their grand reopening, but I plan on going back in a few weeks to interview Samy and Amy for my blog. I still think all of this stuff is fake... and if it is, it worked. I took the bait. Do NOT judge this place until you try it. They are open and are taking reservations. Go in and see for yourself.
I HAVE been to this restaurant about 3-4 times. I have personally witnessed Sammy's rude behavior to patrons and staff. He also asked me one night when I stopped in there for a quick piece of chocolate cake and coffee ($14!!!)before the movie, if I wanted to tip while I was standing at the register! The food they serve is NOT worth the money they charge as though they have a high class place- which it is NOT. Every time I was there the place only had 2 or 3 other patrons there. Their business was NOT busy! It is in a strip mall movie theatre parking lot for heavens sake. I live close by and am a Local Native of Scottsdale. I am not surprised at the legal troubles these two individuals have following them. Watching them give the bird finger to people and act like they are here to be pleased is unconscionable in the business they are in. They need to get out of Scottsdale or someone will eventually run them out. I will be happy when they are out of my home town. I post my real name. Debra Savittieri
