Description

The 40-seat Italian restaurant, owned by Alessandro Polastri, boasts artistically-plated pork chops, filet mignon, veal and fish, along with pastas and risotto. Located on the Sunset Strip, Amarone is a quaint place for a meal or glass of wine. There are 150+ Italian and California-based labels from which to choose.

    Tuck into a table upstairs for a romantic date or intimate dinner with friends. I love the insalata di campo and the homemade rigatoni bolognese, and they have great Italian wines to accompany your meal. There's easy parking behind the restaurant in the Viper Room lot - remember to have them validate your parking so you don't get gauged with the club rate.

    This micro Italian is one of my new favorites on the scene. Owned and run by Chef and host and its obvious by the attention to service and food preparation. All pastas are homemade and as is typical with most Italian eateries there’s a list of daily specials and a smart wine list that’s dominantly Italian with a large selection of wines by the glass. What’s not typical is that everything is made with care and integrity. Its a curious location sitting next door to the Viper Room but once inside the ambiance, decor and Italian chatter takes you to a different moment in time. It’s a unique little restaurant that I hope will be around for years to come. It’s small and the word is getting out so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time.
