Almost Famous Tuesdays 

Fame is a relative thing, but it’s safe to say that if you’ve played The Roxy in Hollywood, you’re at least in the process of building a solid fan following. The bitty baby Roxy Lounge, a Scottsdale spinoff of the legendary Los Angeles music club, isn’t quite as well known -- yet. But hey, as Scottsdale aspires to be a little more L.A., maybe its DJs should, too.

The nightlife masterminds behind the super popular Retox Sundays at Martini Ranch and Monday Night Mass at Pussycat Lounge bring Almost Famous Tuesdays to the lounge, where turntable phenoms DJ Benjamin Cutswell and DJ Nameless spinning a mix of electro, dubstep, trance, house, rock, and more. In an interview with the New TimesM’ writer Benjamin Leatherman last May, Cutswell said his personal mantra is to “stop sucking.” Snagging a bit of The Roxy’s rub-off fame can only help make that goal a reality.
