Description

Concentrating on the cuisine of Cyprus, Aliada complements the regular Greek menu with Middle Eastern flourishes. The horitaki salad adds the stealth herb cilantro to the tossed combination of cucumbers, caper leaves, arugula, scallions, lettuce, black olives, feta, and tomatoes, and even the meatballs called keftedes feature cilantro. Other compelling specialties include mushrooms in wine sauce, a zucchini omelet, and free-form zucchini fritters that are much lighter than they have any right to be.
