Description

One of the most historic hotels in New York, the Algonquin was the site of Dorothy Parker's famed literary round table discussions in the '20s and, in 1950, William Faulkner wrote his Nobel Prize acceptance speech here. Now the hotel is most celebrated for the cabaret performances that take place every night in the Oak Room bar and the 174 comfortable guest rooms that blend rich antiques with modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs and Internet access.
