The only restaurant on the West Coast featuring the cooking of Istria, an area at the top of Italy whose culinary influences include Austria, Hungary, and Yugoslavia, as well as Rome and Venice. You'll see pork stuffed with sauerkraut as well as rabbit in agrodolce sauce. The dining room is snug and pleasingly old-fashioned.
