This spot caters to everyone from Ethiopian traditionalists to all-American ethnic-food enthusiasts. Abyssinia serves up exemplary versions of standard Ethiopian meat and vegetarian dishes, and the cheap lunch-scoop special is a nice way to introduce yourself to the cuisine of this country. But what pushes the restaurant over the top are the super-friendly staffers, who make everyone feel at home in the small, cozy space.
