Luis Valdez is the father of Chicano theater in the United States. A celebrated author, he is regarded as a pivotal member of the Chicano Movement. Luis Valdez is the writer and director of Zoot Suit and La Bamba, among other works. Mr. Valdez is part of the LCC Lecture Series' symposium on the state of Latino theater in the United States. José Luis Torres works in the Public Information Office for the City of Dallas. Free to the public: first come, first served.
